Fairtrade in conjunction with plastprintpack is organizing an international trade show on Agriculture and Livestock, Food, Beverages & Packaging Technology and Hospitality from the 3rd to 5th December 2013 in Accra, Ghana.
This event is organized for the entire global agrofood business community wishing to do business in West Africa as a result of increase in exports of food processing and packaging machinery to West Africa in the recent years, stressed Martin Marz, Managing Director, Fairtrade.
Africa, especially West Africa, during the past few years has become a focal point of interest as a market of the future with high potential. West Africa, in 2012, reached a GDP-growth of 5 percent, according to UN trade database. Consequent upon this staggering growth, exports of agricultural technology, food processing and packaging technology to West Africa become ever more important.
“I am convinced that in 10 years from now, we will witness the great Africa boom. By then, for us working in the field of packaging technology, business-wise the continent will play a similarly important role as Asia does today” says Friedbert Klefenz, President of Bosch Packaging Technology and Chairman of the board of the packaging machinery sector within VDMA- The German Engineering Association.
The Agrofood West Africa 2013 will take place at the Accra International Conference Centre that is located in Ghana’s state capital, Accra, which has ready access to Kotoka Airport and with first class hotels.
