The electoral event Make Your Opinion Count took place October 30th and was primarily aimed at international citizens living in Copenhagen, Denmark. About 300 people participated in the event that provided an introduction to the Danish political system, the upcoming municipal elections and the participant’s voting rights.
Furthermore, 7 political candidates running for the Copenhagen municipal election presented their views on Copenhagen as an international city and took questions from the audience.
The event was organized by Copenhagen International Service and Copenhagen Volunteers.
The political candidates are:
Lord Mayor Frank Jensen (A)
Mayor of Employment and Integration Anna Mee Allerslev (B)
Leader of and political spokesman for The Conservative People’s Party Rasmus Jarlov (C)
Mayor of Health and Care Ninna Thomsen (F)
Member of the Municipal Council for Liberal Alliance Heidi Wang (I)
Mayor of Culture and Leisure Pia Allerslev (V)
Lead Candidate and spokesperson for the Red-Green Alliance Morten Kabell (Ø)
and Tommy Petersen
